Four-row tapered roller bearings have extremely high load-carrying capacity and are widely used in the core components of heavy machinery. The performance of four-row tapered roller bearings is essentially the same as that of double-row tapered roller bearings, but they have a greater capacity to withstand radial loads and a lower limiting speed. Four-row tapered roller bearings are primarily used in rolling mills in the steel and non-ferrous metal industries. These bearings are designed to withstand extremely high radial and axial loads, as well as high-speed and shock loads, and are used in extremely adverse environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, water, and contamination.

They are almost exclusively used in roll applications, such as strip mills, section mills, and tube mills.
