Self-aligning roller bearings feature a large number of rollers and a long contact line, giving them a radial load-carrying capacity far exceeding that of single-row bearings. They offer excellent self-aligning performance and are particularly suitable for operation under heavy or vibrating loads. Self-aligning roller bearings have two rows of rollers; they primarily carry radial loads whilst also being capable of withstanding axial loads in either direction. They have a high radial load-carrying capacity but cannot withstand purely axial loads.
